TNC Panel Discussion

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Thursday 22nd May 2008
09:00 - 10:30   Room A Strauss

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: not so much a description of our world-worn panelists, but a "round table" session on GÉANT2 that promises an open, thought-provoking and entertaining discussion about the successes and (dare we say it) shortcomings of GÉANT2.

Comprising techies, bean counters and human beings, our panelists take a cool, hard look at whether GÉANT2 has managed to deliver the pan-European, multi-domain networking services it intended. They examine what has helped or hindered progress towards this goal; whether GÉANT2 can be accused of pursuing technology at the expense of user needs and if it is really possible to deliver a uniform service across a multi-country environment. And what exactly does this all mean for GÉANT2’s successor and what will future networking technology innovation bring?

We would like you to join the discussion and shape the debate by sending us your views and questions relating to our key topics in advance. Please fill in the required fields below and submit your question or your view on the topics of discussion.
