GÉANT2 Screensaver Installation Instructions

Windows

The Windows screensaver can be installed by one of the following methods:

• Save the downloaded file to a permanent location on your hard drive. Then browse to it, right-click on the file and choose 'Install' from the context menu that is displayed OR
• Copy the downloaded file into c:/winnt/system32 (for Windows NT, 2000 or XP) or c:/windows (for Windows 95, 98 or ME). Then open the Display control panel, click the Screen Saver tab and choose your new screensaver from the drop-down menu.

Macintosh

If you download the packaged installer version, all you should need to do is double-click the zip archive to extract it, and then double-click the installer to run it.

If you prefer to download the .saver file and install it yourself, it should be copied into the Library/Screen Savers folder in the home directory on your hard drive.

Then go to your System Preferences, either from the Dock or the Apple Menu, and select the Desktop & Screen Saver preference pane.

Now click on the Screen Saver tab near the top of the window, and select the GÉANT2 screensaver from the list.
