Interoute announced as a supplier for GÉANT2

• 4,000 km fibre routes contracted with telecom supplier

 DANTE has selected Interoute to supply dark fibre and managed wavelength services on part of the GÉANT2 network. Interoute will provide 25% of the 12,000 fibre route kilometres contracted by the project. They will supply dark fibre in Austria, France, Italy, Spain and Switzerland, as well as wavelength services linking Austria and Germany.

Dai Davies, DANTE’s General Manager says: “The network design for GÉANT2 is focused on maximising operational and service flexibility. With GÉANT2, connections to other world regions will continue to be expanded to become a logical extension of the network's pan-European infrastructure.”
