Delegates at TNC2007, Lyngby, Denmark Delegates at TNC2007, Lyngby, Denmark The 2007 TERENA Networking Conference was hosted by Uni-C at the Technical University of Denmark from 21-24 May 2007 in Lyngby, Denmark. Attended by over 450 networkers, delegates were given the opportunity to once again participate in a significant learning and networking event, which this year featured 12 GÉANT2 workshop presentations.

The core theme of TNC 2007 was ‘Visible Services, Transparent Networks’. GÉANT2 and its importance to global research networking were strongly represented across the workshops and in two poster sessions – the End-to-End Co-ordination Unit (E2ECU) and Network Anomaly Detection and Investigations in GÉANT2.

The enormous potential of GÉANT2 continues to shape the future development of research and education across Europe. The broad scope of the project was mirrored by the diverse subject range of presentation sessions covering: European Trust; Quality Service Management for NREN’s; Protecting Users Content; Enabling Users to Choose Bandwidth; Improving Data Transfer Performance and many more.

Links to the video stream and presentation slides for all GÉANT2 presentations and the full conference programme can be found on the conference website. Electronic copies of both posters will be shortly released by TERENA.

DANTE, on behalf of the GÉANT2 project would like to extend their thanks to TERENA, Uni-C and the TNC Programme Committee for their continued support and commitment to the GÉANT2 project at the TERENA Networking Conference.

TNC 2008 will be hosted by BELNET, the Belgian national research network and held in Bruges on 19 to 22 May 2008.
