Support for Multi-Domain Services Deliverables

This document specifies the purpose and responsibilities of the federated Performance Enhancement Response Team (PERT), with an emphasis on membership criteria (the minimum expected standard that a PERT must achieve in order to join the federated PERT) and the processes for inter-PERT communication.

This deliverable consists of two separate documents: GN2-08-084 Part 1: Common Network Information Service (cNIS) Installation Guide and GN2-08-085 Part 2: Common Network Information Service Management Application User Guide

This document describes the resources involved in GÉANT Identify Provider (GldP) administration and support. It describes the roles, respnsibilities and interactions of all personnel involved, and also gives details of the effort required.

This document is a general introduction to the Multi-Domain Monitoring (MDM) Service developed by GN2 JRA1, and Service Support. It also presents the motivation for providing support using the MDM Service, In Service Support (ISS) components and processes, and lists the NRENs involved in this project.

This report presents the schema specification of the Common Network Information Service (cNIS). It begins with a brief explanation of the motivation, background and scope for cNIS, lists the requirements collected from the GN2 Activities and describes the schema design process. It then presents the data model of the cNIS schema, along with explanations of the different parts of the schema and the naming convention used. The Appendix to this report presents the Entity Relationship diagram of the cNIS schema

This deliverable specifies the architecture and design for the GÉANT2 Identity Provider, an eduGAIN compatible Identity provider for early users of GN2 services

This document provides an analysis of the requirements for a future PERT. The advantages and disadvantages of a centralized PERT (the current model) are compared with those of a decentralized PERT, along with what would be required in terms of tools for both. The concept of a Federated PERT, which combines the strengths of both models, is presented.
